Our Earth
by Cherilyn Fry
Swirling turning amongst
stars so bright
our earth is shrouded within the white

the white of our prayers
for the planet to heal
the clear cut forests
and the seas where pollution is real

Let's be concerned as we become actively involved
in the rebuilding of earth
as our children do grow
in turn becoming stewards
of our earth.

by Cherilyn Fry

The move itself was the worst
what with the packing and all my hacking
and the other stresses to weigh me down
Gibsons was the best thing to happen
this quietly healing town...

these mornings I wake to meet the sun
no more long sleeps as each day brings a lot of fun
I make a steaming cup of java and then sit in the sun
watching a Rufus hummingbird zip by overhead
a hanging fuschia under the gun....

Vancouver will stay in my heart
Wherever I go
but Gibsons is my today and tomorrow
this much I know.
