Art is never finished, only abandoned.

     Leonardo da Vinci

It's a perplexing

left unfinished.

Naturally, we

want the artist to

complete what he

started before

joining the dearly

departed.  An artist

may choose to simply

abandon his muse,

leaving us to interpret

Stuart's Washington,

Mozart's Requiem.

When things

fall apart

we naturally

despair:  loss

can't be repaired.

This is no less so

for commoners

or for kings.  Yet

the question

begs, is ruin

a lesson in

the frailty of

emperors or

of eggs?
