Archetypes, rhino moon squeezes dew

from a speckled grouse tip thorn splintered

by tropical winds across Aeolian gills,

bloodshot gills slashing windows

behind windows etched directly

behind the tenement windows that led me

to you, or was it the other you,

the you before that...or the you

like a hurricane through a house of mirrors,

that’s right, a liquid embryo dreaming

inside its 21st Century cigar-shaped cocoon.
